In plain words: what NeuroPulse keeps, where it goes, and what you can do about it.
Last updated October 13, 2026
In short
- Your records stay on your phone. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose cloud backup.
- Cloud backup is optional. It is off until you sign in and agree.
- Videos are never uploaded. They stay on the phone that recorded them.
- We do not sell your information and the app shows no advertising.
- Anonymous usage counts may be collected. You can turn that off on the Profile page.
What stays on your phone
Seizure entries: when, how long, the type, possible triggers, medicine given, injuries and notes.
The profile: name, date of birth, emergency contacts, the doctor, and the rescue plan.
Medicines and the doses you marked as taken or skipped.
Videos you recorded in Live Mode.
All of this is saved in your browser on this phone. The app works without an internet connection and, without backup, makes no request that carries any of it.
Cloud backup (optional)
If you sign in with Google and agree, a copy of your seizure entries, medicines, recorded doses and profile is stored on our server and linked to your Google account (your name and email address). This lets you get everything back on a new phone.
Videos are never part of the backup.
The backup is sent over a secure connection and each account can only reach its own records. The people who run this service can technically reach the database it is kept in, so please do not store more than you are comfortable with.
You can sign out at any time and choose whether this phone keeps its data. You can also delete your account on the Backup page, which removes everything stored for it.
Usage statistics
NeuroPulse uses Google Analytics to count which screens are opened. It is on by default.
Google receives the address of the screen, the kind of device and browser, an approximate location, and an identifier stored in a cookie. It never receives what you enter: no seizures, medicines, notes or profile details.
Advertising features are switched off, and nothing is collected on the Live Mode screen.
You can turn this off at any time under Usage statistics on the Profile page.
Cookies and storage
- A cookie remembers your light or dark theme choice.
- A cookie remembers whether usage statistics are on or off.
- If you sign in, a sign-in cookie keeps you signed in.
- If usage statistics are on, Google Analytics sets its own cookies.
- Your records, and the saved copy of the app that lets it work offline, are kept in your browser storage on this phone. Clearing the site data in your browser removes them.
Reminders
Dose reminders are notifications made by your own browser on this phone. They are not sent from a server.
A reminder shows the medicine name, so it can be read on a locked screen. You can switch reminders off for each medicine.
What you can do
- Turn usage statistics off: Profile page.
- Sign out, or delete your cloud account and everything stored for it: Backup page.
- Remove everything from this phone: clear the site data for NeuroPulse in your browser settings.
- Exporting your data as a file is planned but not available yet.
Not medical advice
NeuroPulse helps you keep records. It does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice, and the charts and patterns it shows are for you to discuss with your doctor. In an emergency call your local emergency number.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and you will be asked again before anything new is backed up.
